Camo Hard Hat, Kens hard hat

Question:
Someone mentioned that there's a hard hat for Ken. Can you tell me the type or name of the set? Is it the small carded, boxed accessory or is it included with a figure? I want to minimize the time spent in the dreaded pink isle! I need 2 of these so if you can provide any intel I'll be greatful.

Answer:
It came on one of those narrow accessory cards. I got mine a long time ago when my girls were still into Barbie so I was able to recon the pink aisle with my head up. I used my girls as camouflage because back then I was always looking for some Ken stuff that Joe could use. I still have the hard hat on a Seabee I put together. Sorry about the rant.

Ah...Max? I take it your mom and dad were brother and sister? They'd have to be, to produce someone as bloody stupid as you appear to be.

1. There is little camo needed in urban warfare. 2. You start popping away at folks in the city with paintballs..and they are going to return fire, with high speed cupronickle lead alloys, at which point..you discover camo has as much protection as toilet paper. IE.."street jigs" will kill your sorry ass, dead. And in your case..it would be doing the gene pool a favor

If you are in open country..a boony hat and sniper veil wont do you any good if you are moving around.

If you are in deep green..then some camo could be of use. The whole idea is to break up your outline and keep your pearly white teeth, eyes and skin from shining. Even if you were not wearing a veil or a mask..as long as you break up your outline..and stay still..you will be hard to detect.

Those bits and pieces..are very important. They help not only break up your outline..but tend to make the other guy think that your movement is natural foilage movement.

The human eye is tuned to regularity. Square lines and forms. A paintball mask is made up of such. And its something players are mentally tuned for. So break up its lines. Even burlap strips hanging down will help break up the masks outline. On the other hand..a hat itself has regular lines..few of which are found in nature.

You would be far better off sewing a bunch of burlap strips to a "watch cap" and trying to get a "overgrown stump" look, assuming you are in country that has such.

You want to break up not only the outlines of your mask..but of your head, neck and shoulders as well..all things the human backbrain recognizes easily.

Just some examples.

And never forget..that to be seen moving..is to die. Paintball is a game that has only a remote resemblence to real combat..very remote.
