Can anyone recommend a good source in Connecticut/Western Mass/ Eastern
NY for Chippewa *motorcycle* boots?
Answer:
The only places I've found locally carry hiking and work boots, etc.,
but not the motorcycle-specific items. I've found "Internet sources"
that they could be ordered from, but for footwear I think I'd rather
"buy retail", provided I had the opportunity to try 'em on first. It's
just too much of a hassle to order one size, find it doesn't fit, send
it back for a different size, etc.
The particular boot I'm interested in is the "Euro-12", which opens all
the way up and seals with Velcro straps. In spite of the name, it is a
very "American-looking" boot, as seen here:
Tons of places here in Manhattan(the little island off of the coast of the
US the people love to hate). Just picked up a pair at a place on West 8th
Street, and amazingly, they had them in 14 and a halfs for my grape
stompin feet. The name of the store was david Z's. Hope this helps even if
it means a haul for you to get down here, but hey, bright side is, drinks
are on me.
