Question:
Farmers say worries about possible immigration
raids have created a shortage of migrant workers in western Michigan this
fall, leading them to share the available laborers.
Answer:
In this story the word migrant means illegal alien. Real migrants with
a greencard have no fear of ICE.
There is no shortage of "illegal workers", they are just not working for
the farmers, they are on construction jobs, in factories, and working in
meatpacking plants, and in the service industry. Illegal immigrants
aren't stupid, they don't won't to work in the fields either.
Ferocious fines with real prison time for employers who hire illegal aliens
for *any* reason would be a fine place to start. The problem would resolve
itself fairly quickly if the incentive to hire illegal aliens was removed.
The Law is on the books! $2,000.00 fine( small potatoes of course)10
years in prison, and forfeiture of assets of the Employer per each
instance. 20 Mexican nationals 200 years. The thing is the Law says
"knowingly". Unless they have taken it from the books.
This Administration has no intention of enforcing the Law. Every
decision by President Bush has been a business decision on behalf of the
Big Business. The Constitution and our Laws and Sovereignty mean nothing
to them. The Constitution is just a *&^ piece of paper to them.
