US-NV-RENO - Senior Construction Project Manager (GO Jobs)

With more than 1,500 staff, Kleinfelder is one of the nation’s largest employee-owned firms providing engineering, technical and management solutions.

We are seeking a Sr. Construction Project Manager to work part-time on a project located in Mill City, Nevada approx 140 miles northeast of Reno, NV and consists of a package WWTP, associated infrastructure to support the WWTP and reconstruction of two existing retention ponds. We anticipate the Senior Construction Manager will need to be on site 3 to 4 days per week, from late July through November.

The successful candidate should have the maturity to manage a project in a remote site with little supervision, but be able to appropriately report project issues on a daily and weekly basis, interact with multiple team members including on-site Owner representatives, and provide direction to the contractor. Senior Construction Project Manager will report to Program Manager, however, will interact with other Kleinfelder staff regarding geotechnical and materials testing and inspection activities.

Experience with WWTP (waste water treatment plant) or similar is desired.

Advanced knowledge of MS Office suite as well familiarity wtih software programs for job costing, scheduling and estimating. Must be able to read understand the requirements of building plans and specifications and have a strong knowledge of construction means, methods and procedures. Must understand general conditions of construction contracts; must be able to read and understand bar chart schedules; must be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing.

Responsibilities include:

- Construction management/oversight of all work for compliance with contract documents.
- Daily Reports
- Weekly progress and schedule reports
- Review and recommendation of contractor Payment Applications and change orders.<
