Question:
Just wanted to let people know that the Belson Gold'n Hot Soft Bonnet
Dryer does not fill up with air. By the way the hot air only populates
a small section of the bonnet, I can tell that I would have to rotate
the bonnet several times to dry my hair.
The old bonnet dryer, that my mom used, filled up much more fully &
evenly. I hate when companies redo an old-fashioned product and they
spend absolutely no time AT ALL designing & engineering it properly.
Ok - although now I have to return this & I'm a bit upset - does anyone
have any recommendations ? I saw one for Windmere. What do you think
? I need a soft bonnet-hat hair dryer.
Answer:
I got this for my mother in law last Christmas and she loves it. We are
probably a more demanding community, but she has been doing the wet set for
40 years, so she probably knows a thing or two about bonnets.
I have model# 8282. Only a small area near the entrance gets puffy. The
rest of the bonnet stays pretty limp & cold. Oh well... Hopefully I'll
get a chance to return it tomorrow.
I have the Windemere that I bought on-line and like it. It does fill
up with air, but I still rotate it a bit. It doesn't dry like a blow
dryer, but I don't want it to. What I like most about it is that I can
wash my hair and dry it while I'm reading alt.fashion!
Thanks for the info, you guys. There aren't a lot of stores around here
that sell the soft bonnet, so I ended up buying a sturdy black music
stand & a hard hat dryer. My only complaint about the hard hat dryers
was that positioning them at the appropriate height behind me was
difficult. I like the music stand because although it looks weird, I
can adjust it to a comfortable height behind my chair & place the hard
hat dryer on it. I wanted a salon-style tall standing hair dryer, but I
figured that would be too expensive. The music stand cost 40$.
