Question:
I noticed on some japanese rocketry websites that the members were
wearing hard hats is this a requirement in japan or other countrys?
Answer:
I take it, then, that you also wear safety glasses or goggles while
prepping ejection charges...?
I will, occasionally wear a hardhat, but I do it for its comedic value.
I have an official Stephen Bennet Launch Crew hardhart and had 7
hardhats made up with "TEAM FTBOD" across the front for my FTBOD flight,
just to keep with the theme. I'll probably wear them at NYPOWER just
for grins. ;-)
uuuuuh?! maybe the hard hat, with blue coveralls, tucked into your
boots, a full pocket protector, clip- board, and properly acessorized with a
matching calculator. perfect for my boy!
I used to use a full face shield. Kinda got tired of looking like something
out of a low budget John Wang movie. (Actually, needed the automatic rifle
to complete that look.)
Oh, and you want the white coveralls with open web pockets because of that
spilled liquid thing. And don't forget to tether your glasses and wrap a
little loop of kapton tape around your ring / wristwatch before heading up
on the workstands. FOD is bad. : )
What I'm wondering (going back to a previous thread)... you
said that in your work, wearing the wrong kind of underwear
could be hazardous... what's the hazardous kind?
