Skate Boot Covers?

Question:
I apologize if this has been discussed before. I am unable to find anything in a search. I am looking for boot covers for Solomon skate boots, pre-pilot, for my wife, size 40. If they don't exist, does anyone have any experience in making some out of cycling or snowshoe booties?

Answer:
Most boot companies make a boot cover, but they call them "overboots". I took a look at Solomon's website and I could only find their pilot overboot. I'm guessing that the pilot overboot would probably work for profil boots. If you bring your wife's boot to a ski shop, you could try out the pilot overboot or maybe an overboot from another boot manufacturer. If you're in luck, they might even have some profil Solomon overboots left.

I'm not sure if this is a double post or not because the first one is taking forever to show up.

Most boot companies make boot covers, but they call them "overboots". Looking at the Solomon website, it seems like they make a single model of boot cover that fits the pilot boots. I'm pretty sure that it would also fit profil boots.

I'd recommend taking your wife's boot to a ski shop and trying out some Solomon boot covers to see if they fit. If not, boot covers from another boot manufacturer might also work. You might also be lucky and the store might have some old pre-profil boot covers kicking around
